Back to school

Looking back to the end of school, what a great Summer we had. We rested a week after school ended on June 8, 2012. Then we headed to our three week vacation by driving from Pennsylvania to South Carolina for a night. We spend a night with Jim and Ginger and drove to Ft.lauderdale, FL.

Spending a couple of nights at Miami beach, then to Marco Island. We had such an amazing time with my friend Genet and her kids. Five days later, we headed to Nickelodeon hotel and the kids enjoyed every minute swimming and playing double dare.

We went to Universal Studio and Wet n' wild in Orlando, FL. The weather was cool and the kids have amazing experience. Sure, God was on our side everywhere we go and His favor was upon us.

We finished our visit in Florida and we headed back to South Carolina. Our favorite time is enjoying moments with Jim and Ginger. As always, we had a great time cooking, eating, laughing and fishing.

Five days later, we drove to visit Pat in North Carolina. Pat is a sweet heart. I can just sit and chat all day with her. But, she planned for us to visit the butterfly farm and the state historical park. We went out to eat and we had a great fellowship with Pat and Josh.

After enjoying family visit, we had to make another stop. That is my kids favorite beach.....Virginia Beach. We stayed a few days swimming and enjoying each other's company.

On our way back, we stopped to visit with my brother Alem and his wife Askela for a night. We get to eat Ethiopian food, which we only get to eat when we go to see them. Alem is a wonderful brother, it is always nice to hangout with him.

We finally got back home July 7, 2012. What an amazing time with my kids and family!

The kids went to camp just for a week. The following week Emily went to the shore with a friend.

A week later, we got invited to a friend Lake house for three days. The kids were able to water ski, and canooing. Great swimming and laugh ending the nights watching the beautiful sunsets.

Jason was able to experience too visit Mexico by going as a mission trip for ten days.

We had kids coming and going to sleepovers. Swimming, going to library, eating out and reading and spending quiet time at home.

The last week of Summer end up taking day trips to Rohoboth beach, Hiking, and Mt. Lake Gretna with friends.

We celebrated Jacob's 10th birthday party, the boys played Soccer tournaments and Jacob team/ Gunners won the Championship. What a great way to end the Summer!

Now, here we are getting ready for tomorrow first day back school. The kids had put everything in their bag packs, ate dinner, took shower and relaxing and watching a movie Facing the Giants.

God has been so good to us. Showering us with His favor, His love and His arm of protection. We couldn't do what we do without His strength and His Peace.

Jacob's 10th birthday!

I just can't believe Jacob has only one more year in elementary school.

It was ten years ago when God blessed us with Jacob. He was the cutest baby ever!

He has grown to be a great kid! He has this big smile, he is a joy to have him.

He loves God, he has a good heart.

God has took my kids in His arms and shoulders and helping me to raise amazing kids.

They are not perfect, not even close, but they have a great heart with great compassion.

Isaiah 54: 13-15, "All your children will be taught by the Lordand great will be their peace. In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear.Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you."

Thank you everyone for coming and making his day great!!!

Finance blessings

I wanted to write some key's about blessings:
There are two things that never seems to fail in life how we look at our daily lives.
1: Thanksgiving
2: Giving

It is good to give thanks to the Lord.
(Psalms 92:2)

The bible is a great source how we can thank our lord. Even though it didn't teach us to say thanks to others, but it certainly does not allow us to ignore the source of good we receive.

...and you shall eat and be satisfied  and bless the Lord your God. Duet, 8:10).
Don’t just feel grateful. You must bless the Lord.

Those who regularly express gratitude are happier than those who don’t.

We most on the receiving end in our relationship with God. He gives us all we have.

God created us as spiritual beings with a deep need to be givers not takers. In fact, too much receiving corrodes the soul.
Proverbs 22:9, "The generous will themselves be blessed,
for they share their food with the poor."

Proverbs 28:27, "Those who give to the poor will lack nothing,  but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses."

Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into you. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

I hope this blesses you. Feel free to leave a comment.
